The American Society of Health Informatics Managers (ASHIM) is a professional association for information technology (IT) professionals who specialize in health informatics. ASHIM sponsors a credentialing exam known as the Certified Health Informatics Systems Professional exam that "demonstrate[s] skills and knowledge in technology and the healthcare industry, including the unique requirements formed where these two trades meet."[1]
