Arizona State University (also ASU or Arizona State) is a public metropolitan research university located on five campuses across the Phoenix, Arizona, metropolitan area, and four regional learning centers throughout Arizona.[1] ASU is classified as a research university with very high research activity (RU/VH) by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.[2] ASU was ranked the fifth largest public university by enrollment in the U.S. in the fall of 2015.[3] The spring 2016 university ratings by U.S. News & World Report ranked ASU number one among the Most Innovative Schools in America.[4]
