A certificate of compliance (COC) is a document issued by a competent authority declaring an entity or product compliant with certain specifications. The term is used in multiple industries with varying contexts, but the general idea is always that one or more conditions of a requirement have been fulfilled and the issued COC is a proxy for that compliance, giving the recipient assurances while also meeting regulatory requirements (if applicable). These COCs can be issued in laboratory testing, logistics and trade, manufacturing, real estate, and other endeavors.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
