Studies Notebook and eln.online

Studies Notebook is an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) "with flexible templating to capture, store and search experiments from all scientific disciplines."^[4] The software can be hosted on-site or in the cloud.

In September 2020, a "quick start version" of Studies Notebook for new labs—known as eln.online—was announced.^[2] Dotmatics describes the ELN as "a simple hosted edition design to allow small research teams to jump-start their discovery journey," suitable for 10 or few users and running as a multi-tenant SaaS instance type.^[5]
