Overview

In October 2003, PLoS Biology became one of the first peer-reviewed open-access journals on the web, hosted by the Public Library of Science.[1] Since then, hundreds of publishers have taken the idea of the academic journal and moved it to the public domain. Included among these are journals that focus on various applications of informatics to science and health care. We've selected open-access articles relating to various fields of informatics that are free to republish elsewhere with proper citation, much in the same way the material on this website can be shared. You can browse the collection using the tools below. Also note that like other articles found on this wiki, journal articles can be added to LIMSwiki books.

For a full listing of journals — open-access and otherwise — relating to laboratory informatics, bioinformatics, and other forms of informatics, please see LIMSWiki:Resources/Journals.
