History

The company was founded in 1991.[1] What started as a small spin-off is now one of the German providers for digital archiving, document management, and workflows, otherwise known as Enterprise Content Management.
It is a group of companies active across Europe with subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Serbia.

OPTIMAL SYSTEMS was originally founded as OPTIMAL SYSTEMS GmbH by Karsten Renz and Sven Sauer, in 1991.
OPTIMAL SYSTEMS has grown and developed continuously since its establishment in Berlin in 1991.
1992 From project to product - the archive system goes live.
1995 Constance: The first sales company serves customers in Baden-Württemberg
1996 The Hannover location complements our expertise in eGovernment throughout Germany
1997 Another distribution company focuses on healthcare solutions
1998 From now on, OPTIMAL SYSTEMS GmbH is still an official SAP partner
1998 The archive is extended by comprehensive document management (DMS)

2002 The turnover exceeds 10 million Euro for the first time
2003 From now on, the software unites both Archive & DMS and its own workflow engine

enaio Laboratory Content Center is a modular laboratory informatics platform "for the organization, documentation (enaio labs), sample processing (enaio lims), process analysis, quality management (Quality Management Suite) and content management in laboratories."[2] The suite includes document management and laboratory information management system (LIMS) modules.
