Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, United States, is a public research university and is the main campus of the Purdue University system. The main campus in West Lafayette offers more than 200 majors for undergraduates, over 70 master’s and doctoral programs, and professional degrees in pharmacy and veterinary medicine. Purdue is classified as a research university with very high research activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.[1] The university enrolled more than 39,400 students, and it ranked 60 among national universities and was ninth among the "Most Innovative Schools" according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[2]
