University of Hawaii at Manoa (also known as University of Hawaiʻi, UH Mānoa, or simply UH) is a public co-educational research university as well as the flagship campus of the University of Hawaiʻi system. The school is located in Mānoa, an affluent neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, approximately three miles east and inland from downtown Honolulu and one mile from Ala Moana and Waikiki. The university offers nearly 90 bachelor's, 90 master's, and 50 doctoral programs.[1] The university is classified as a research university with very high research activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.[2] The university enrolled more than 18,800 students, and it ranked 169 among national universities and 89 in "Top Public Schools" according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[3]
