Haemonetics Corporation develops and distributes blood management hardware and software.

History

On February 1, 2010, the Haemonetics Corporation announced it had agreed to acquire Global Med Technologies, Inc. and its subsidiaries, including INLOG SA.[1] The deal was finalized the acquisition on April 1, with Global Med (and thus INLOG) becoming "a wholly-owned subsidiary of Haemonetics."[2] INLOG was then referred to as "Inlog - a Haemonetics Company."[3]

On August 31, 2014, the Inlog website was shut down and the company and its products now seem to be fully absorbed into Haemonetics Corporation.[4]

In May 2020, Haemonetics announced that it had agreed "to sell certain blood donor management software solution assets within its Blood Center business unit" to GPI SA, and that those assets would be merged into GPI's subsidiary Hemasoft Software SL.[5]

In July 2020, Haemonetics announced that it had come to an agreement to divest in its Inlog acquisition, selling Inlog and its EdgeSuite of software solutions to Abénex Capital SA.[5] Haemonetics CEO Chris Simon stated the sale was need to "help shift our portfolio toward our growth segments."[5] The sale was finalized in mid-September, though terms of the deal were not disclosed.[6] However, as of November 2020, it's not clear if INLOG SA will come out of the acquisition as an independent business marketing its old products again.

Previous technology

Sapanet was a LIS-like workflow management system "designed to help automate and streamline the day-to-day operations of hospitals, donor centers, and laboratories."[7] The software was delisted from the Haemonetics website sometime in early 2017 and was presumed no longer offered.

EdgeLab was a laboratory information system (LIS) (marketed as a LIMS) that "can automate and streamline your laboratory processes — from order entry to billing and business performance management."[8]

Technology and products

The company offers a variety of blood and plasma management software solutions. See their website for more details.
