Dilution factor

When a sample is diluted, its dilution factor = (Concentration BEFORE dilution / Concentration AFTER dilution).

[1]The overall dilution of the aliquot subjected to analysis. A value of one corresponds to nominal conditions for the method. Values greater than one correspond to dilutions. Values less than one correspond to concentrations.
