OPTIMAL SYSTEMS GmbH develops and distributes information management software solutions for enterprise and laboratories, including enterprise content management and laboratory informatics software solutions.

History

The company was founded in 1991.[1] What started as a small spin-off is now one of the German providers for digital archiving, document management, and workflows, otherwise known as Enterprise Content Management.
It is a group of companies active across Europe with subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Serbia.

OPTIMAL SYSTEMS was originally founded as OPTIMAL SYSTEMS GmbH by Karsten Renz and Sven Sauer, in 1991.
OPTIMAL SYSTEMS has grown and developed continuously since its establishment in Berlin in 1991.
1992 From project to product - the archive system goes live.
1995 Constance: The first sales company serves customers in Baden-Württemberg
1996 The Hannover location complements our expertise in eGovernment throughout Germany
1997 Another distribution company focuses on healthcare solutions
1998 From now on, OPTIMAL SYSTEMS GmbH is still an official SAP partner
