Coefficient of determination
From LIMSWikiJump to navigationJump to search
The coefficient of determination, typically expressed as R2 and as defined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency via its SEDD Specification Version 5.2, "is the proportion of variability in a dataset that is accounted for by a statistical model." The EPA adds that "there is no consensus about the exact definition of R2; however, it is generally referred to as the 'goodness of fit' for a polynomial equation."
