Summary

Description

Figure 3. Laboratory devices can be divided into three categories with different technical prerequisites. For legacy devices, a physical gateway module is needed to enable network access and standard device communication. Devices without native standard device communication but ethernet port need a digital component to enable, for example, SiLA2 communication. The third category are devices with integrated standard device communication. A central device control server is managing standard connectivity between all different kinds of laboratory devices.
