Technology and products

Freezerworks

Freezerworks is a "sample tracking, biorepository management, and freezer inventory program [that] has the flexibility of a fully configurable LIMS while adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements."[2] It comes in three variations:

  • Ascent, designed for fully automated sample management and group management; "group features provide multi-tenancy options with security. Each group can access and manage its own freezers, screens, and formats. Additional features assist in workflow tasks, especially in aliquot movement."[3]
  • Summit, designed for sample tracking, biorepository management, and freezer inventory management; "[i]ncludes patient management, with cutting-edge security features that protect sensitive patient information including an audit trail that records all PHI/PII viewing. Group ownership of fields enhances and streamlines multi-tenant use and management."[4]
  • Pinnacle, designed for clinical study management; "delivers a sample-centric study management solution to help you avoid the pitfalls that lead to increased time to market and higher clinical trial costs."[5]
