Toronto Research Chemicals, Inc. (TRC) manufactures analytical testing products and provides analytical testing services. The company also performs chemical Cannabis laboratory testing for the country's various cannabis programs through its subsidiary Synfine Research Limited.[1]


The company was formally founded in October 1983.[2] In August 2019, LGC Standards Canada Limited completed the acquisition of a majority stake in TRC and its subsidiary Synfine Research Limited.[3] Since the acquisition, the website for Synfine Research now forwards to the TRC website and a page about Synfine Research's services.[4]
