GRÜN GQM GmbH provides quality management consultation services to the food and beverage industry. It also develops and distributes informatics software solutions.

History

The company was founded in 1993 as GQM Gesellschaft für Qualitätsmanagement mbH and began development of its manufacturing execution system (MES) and quality management system.[1] That same year GQM began working with Unternehmensberatung Weihenstephan GmbH on the continued development of Weihenstaphan's system "Qualifax - A system for computer-aided quality assurance" for the dairy industry.[2] Two other branches of the company were created in 1994 and 1998. All three divisions were united under GQM mbH in 2002.[1]

On January 1, 2007, Unternehmensberatung Weihenstephan and GQM were officially merged, with Weihenstephan and their Qualifax product line being integrated with GQM's products.[3][1]

In December 2022, GRÜN Software Group acquired GQM mbH.[4] In June 2023, the company was renamed to GRÜN GQM GmbH.[5] It appears that one of the changes made with the acquisition was to integrate the former Qualifax LIMS into GQM-MES.

Former solutions

Qualifax LIMS was a laboratory information management system (LIMS) for the food and beverage industry that's designed "for organized sample processing and detection, structuring and analysis of reliable data."[6]

Technology and products
