In May 2020, Haemonetics Corporation announced that it had agreed "to sell certain blood donor management software solution assets within its Blood Center business unit" to GPI SA, and that those assets would be merged into GPI's subsidiary Hemasoft Software SL.[3]
In January 2021, GPI announced that it had acquired the remaining 40 percent share capital of Hemasoft Software SL, adding that "the acquisition of the entirety of the Hemasoft Group is a key element in the development of GPI4Blood, the business unit of the GPI Group committed to the software solutions for blood management."[4]
