Frontier Science & Technology Research Foundation, Inc. (FSTRF) is a non-profit research foundation that advanced the use of data management techniques in science. The foundation also develops and maintains laboratory informatics software systems.

History

FSTRF was founded in 1975 " to advance the application of statistical science and practice and data management techniques in science, health care, and education."[1]

In 2001, a subsidiary Frontier Science Scotland Ltd. was incorporated. Two other subsidiaries were created in Europe later that decade: Frontier Southern Europe in 2005 and Frontier Science Foundation - Hellas in 2007.[2]

LDMS

LDMS is a laboratory information management system "used by clinics and laboratories around the world to manage specimen tracking, inventory storage, shipments between sites, and data from select assays."[3]
