The Center for Advanced Research in Environmental Genomics (CAREG) at the University of Ottawa performs academic research on "the effects of environmental stressors on genome function and expression."[1] The center is also licensed to perform chemical Cannabis laboratory testing for the country's various cannabis programs.[2]

History

The center was founded in 2000 as a research partnership among many influential research groups at the university.[1]
