PDS Group Holding AG—doing business as PDS Life Sciences or PDS— developed and distributed laboratory informatics software solutions for businesses working in preclinical science.

History

The company was formally founded in November 2007.[2]

On March 21, 2014, PDS announced it would be rebranding its PathData, ReproData, and ToxData products[3] as an integrated modular software suite called Ascentos.[4][5] However, it's not clear if the modules function as stand-alone software like their predecessors or as dependent modules of the Ascentos platform.

On September 1, 2021, Instem LSS Limited announced that it had acquired PDS. Noting that "PDS has been a direct competitor of Instem," and the desire "to concentrate our investment into a single line of products," in their press release[1], it is unsurprising that the Ascentos product of PDS is no longer showing on the website (as of 2023), and an "end-of-life policy" for Ascentos exists.[6]

Technology and products

Ascentos

Ascentos was a modular, cloud-based laboratory information management system (LIMS) for pre-clinical research and reporting for the life sciences and chemical industries.[7]
