History

The predecessor of VeriLIMS (Pty) Ltd. and the VeriLIMS product was Computerised Laboratory Applications (Pty) Ltd., established by Johan Potgieter in the 1980s.^[1]^[2]^[3] The Computerised Laboratory Applications website shut down sometime in early to mid-2011, with VeriLIMS (Pty) Ltd. taking its place in July 2014.^[2]^[4]

VeriLIMS is a modular laboratory information management system (LIMS) that "makes the most ‘sense’ in terms of laboratory workflow, sample and data management including traceability and QA/QC checking."^[5]
