Krishagni Solutions Pvt. Ltd. develops and distributes clinical laboratory informatics software solutions.
History
caTissue Plus, developed by Krishagni, is an Enterprise version of NCI caTissue [1] with lots of improvements over NCI caTissue - i.e., many new features, better user interface, and much faster. Most importantly, like NCI caTissue, it is free and open source and follows the same caBIG license.
Krishagni is happy to release OpenSpecimen [2] - An Open Source Biobanking Informatics "Platform". OpenSpecimen is a series of releases to rewrite caTissue. The complete rewrite is expected to complete by Mar 2015.
Why rewrite caTissue? 1. To transform caTissue to a highly scalable, configurable, robust, high performance, and enterprise grade software. 2. caTissue is a 10 year old code base. The design and architecture is old technology-based, difficult to maintain and add new featured on top of it. 3. Apply lessons learnt in the last 10 years of supporting and interacting with the global biobanking community.

OpenSpecimen is an open-source biobanking LIMS/LIS based upon its previous offering NCI caTissue.
